About the Role:
JRK Steel Inc. is looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join our team in Duluth, MN! This is a hands-on opportunity to work with cutting-edge metal fabrication equipment in a fast-paced, production-driven environment where your precision and craftsmanship truly matter.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Machines to cut metal components to specification
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and cut sheets
- Program or load cut files into plasma table software/CNC controls
- Inspect finished parts for quality, dimensional accuracy, and clean cuts
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plasma cutting equipment
- Organize and stage raw material for efficient workflow
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop safety standards
Requirements:
- Prior experience operating a CNC plasma cutting or similar metal fabrication equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Basic math skills including measurements and tolerances
- Familiarity with steel grades, plate sizes, and material handling
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials as needed
Compensation: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
